We bought a brand new Bible to replace our paper bound Bible that is now in several pieces. S decided to bring back our bible study session and we promised to have it every 8 in the evening. Z would lead the opening prayer in earnest, even closing his eyes and putting his hands in a prayer-like position. Since Z loves storytelling, his dad would enthrall him with different stories from the Bible every night. I love it when S tries to make the stories interesting by incorporating words/things that Z is familiar with. Like with the story of David and Goliath, S introduced Goliath as the giant found in Jack and the Beanstalk and upon hearing this Z's face immediately lit up and said, "Fee,fie,fum!" If you are not familiar with that, it is what the giant in Jack and the Beanstalk said when he smelled Jack. I know Z learns a lot from stories so I hope we really stick to it this time.
